On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,594. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 6.868billion and the number of lots traded 9,751.

Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 2.612 billion, followed by gold PKR 1.806 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 964.422 million, currencies through COTS PKR 803.895 million, DJ PKR 292.782 million, silver PKR 123.366 million, SP500 PKR 95.633 million, platinum PKR 76.121 million, natural gas PKR 49.062 million, copper PKR38.504 million and Brent crude oil PKR 5.153 million. In agriculture commodities 32,435 lots of red chilli valued PKR8.919 million and 15 lots of cotton valued PKR 7.534 million were traded.
